Anders said the charge for a K-9 was led by Pettis County Prosecutor Phillip K. Sawyer after a brief discussion about the need for such a valuable tool within the Pettis County Sheriff's Office. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was successful in deploying stop sticks at Cherry Tree Lane. Two individuals are in custody pending formal charges after the execution of a search warrant in Pettis County on Thursday, January 29. According to a release from Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders, at approximately 11 a.m., the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and Miller County SWAT Team served a search warrant in the 1200 block of South Carr Avenue in Sedalia in reference to alleged drug activity.
