The "eyes" have it: IISc study finds eye movements & attention are closely linked
New studies from the Indian Institute of Science's Centre for Neuroscience explore the link between attention and eye movements. One study suggests that the perceptual advantage of pre-saccadic attention is lost when an object changes suddenly before gaze falls upon it. Another study, carried out with collaborators at Stanford University, decouples attention from eye movements in monkeys, providing insights into the brain's processes during these activities.
