De Lima did not suffer stroke – doctors

Detained Sen. Leila de Lima did not suffer a stroke and is now doing well, according to her doctors.

The senator, who was confined at the Manila Doctors Hospital for three days on a medical furlough, was discharged Tuesday and is now back at the custodial center of the Philippine National Police (PNP) at Camp Crame. 
Dr. Dante Morales and Dr. Errol Rhett Santelices said the result of De Lima’s Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (BMRI) imaging and CT angiography showed no evidence of stroke (acute infarct or hemorrhage).  ....

Detained Senator Leila de Lima left the Manila Doctors Hospital on Tuesday as she finished the appropriate medical tests and is now under stable condition.
To recall, the senator was feared to have suffered a mild stroke and was allowed by two Muntinlupa courts to seek medical attention.
In a press statement, de Lima s doctors bared that De Lima s Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (BMRI) imaging and CT angiography showed no evidence of stroke (acute infarct or hemorrhage).
According to the medical team who assisted de Lima, the senator experienced headaches due to hot the weather, poor ventilation and noise. ....

Detained Senator Leila de Lima has tested negative for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) but will seek medical treatment from a hospital in Manila after suffering from a mild stroke.
“Lumabas na yung swab result ni Sen. Leila is negative” (Her swab test result came out negative), De Lima’s office said in an update given by her chief of staff Atty. Fhillip Sawali. 
Her office disclosed that the senator arrived at Manila Doctors Hospital on Saturday to get necessary medical treatment for her health condition. ....

De Lima arrives at Manila hospital to undergo checkup for suspected mini-stroke

She was escorted by police from her detention facility at Camp Crame in Quezon City to the hospital after two Muntinlupa courts issued orders on April 23 allowing her to have a three-day medical furlough.
De Lima filed a very urgent motion for medical furlough on April 23 after she complained of bouts of headaches and persistent generalized weakness.
Her on-call physician, Dr. Meophilia G. Santos-Cao, examined her on April 21.
“The examination by Dr. Santos-Cao left an impression that Accused De Lima experienced a Transient Ischemic Attack (mild stroke), hence the urgent and extremely important need to rule out a cerebrovascular accident,” according to the motion. A cerebrovascular accident, or CVA, is another term for stroke. ....
