双面“白象”
有人嫌弃它，24层高，没有电梯，设施破败，是市中心的“贫民窟”；有人追捧它，把它写进论文，拍进电影，用它作照片背景吸引社交平台的流量。
不久前，一位在白象居收发快递的小伙子因为“一天爬一座山”被媒体报道，人们也再次谈论起这座建筑。
它拥有极具视觉冲击力的躯体，是重庆城市景观的网红“顶流”，明星王俊凯曾坐在某个单元门口的藤椅上，为时尚杂志拍摄封面照。此后赶来追星“打卡”的人磨破了这把藤椅的扶手。
上世纪80年代，要给“最贫穷、最有居住安全需要的人”造一栋现代化的、功能齐全的住宅，是白象居设计者之一、今年86岁的建筑师张从正最初的构想。
码头出生的金克华是第一批住户之一，直到现在，他还把当年搬进白象居，列在“一辈子运气最好的事”里。
