Two terrorists were neutralized during the encounter which broke out at the Brar (Aragam) area of Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora on Friday, the police said.

An encounter between security forces and militants broke out in Bandipora in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Two terrorists involved in the attack on Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat were killed in the encounter, as per sources in the security establishment.

The firefight began after a joint team of the police and the security forces launched a search operation based on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Says the duo had escaped from recent gumfight at Salender Forest area of Bandipora.
