A musician has been arrested after allegedly locking himself to equipment at a Central Queensland construction site in a stand against mining.
Musician and student Morgan Heenan allegedly locked himself to concrete batching equipment at Bravus Mining and Resources Carmichael rail construction site near Glenden in Central Queensland on Monday morning.
Police were called to the alleged incident, which disrupted works at the site, about 6am on May 24.

Anti-coal protesters will take part in a Tour De Carmichael 105km bicycle ride to a mine site in Central Queensland in a show of opposition to the project.
More than 100 cyclists left the Gregory Highway on Tuesday morning to begin their ride to the Carmichael mine site.
In a statement, event organisers said the next five days of their journey would include a guided tour of Wangan and Jagalingou country with Coedie McAvoy, as well as passing Bravus Mining and Resources’ Carmichael mine site.
But a Bravus spokeswoman has slammed the group for “putting their own safety and that of our workers at risk”. ....

A $300,000 funding pool will pump up entertainment for youths in Collinsville if a motion before the Whitsunday Regional Council today is approved.
Mining giant Bravus, formerly Adani, in its community benefit fund agreement with the council had committed $300,000 towards a pump track in the Whitsunday town.
Council officers deemed the facility in central Collinsville the preferred project following recent community consultation.
A pump track located in central Collinsville would increase the range of activities available and provide a safe area for bike, scooter and skateboard riding and skills development to engage young people, council documents state. ....
