The Long Beach's Aquarium of the Pacific will be releasing endangered frogs back into the wild after taking care of them over the past year.
Critically endangered mountain yellow-legged frogs are being released back into their habitat in the Southern California mountains to help rebuild their populations.
The aquarium has been caring for and raising around 125 wild tadpoles hatched in April 2020 and about 150 who were hatched in 2021 at the Los Angeles Zoo, one of the other facilities in the partnership.
People can virtually adopt the Aquarium of the Pacific's sea otter pup for $100 or pay more to suggest a name. The pup was found abandoned in April.
