THE Christmas opening dates and times have been revealed for Bridport Leisure Centre.

A LEISURE centre was forced to close its doors temporarily after a group of travellers set up camp at the site. Travellers moved on to the grounds of Bridport Leisure Centre on Monday evening, forcing bosses to close the venue to users on Tuesday. Police were called and moved on the travellers, allowing the leisure centre, in Brewery Fields, Skilling Hill Road, to reopen around 1pm yesterday. A GREEN space in Bridgwater town centre will be given a new lease of life over the next 12 months as part of a £15m regeneration scheme for the local area. Sedgemoor District Council is spearheading the regeneration of the Northgate site on Mount Street, delivering a new seven-screen cinema, gym, bowling alley and restaurants.
