Commissioners purchase property, award bid for bridge project SIDNEY – The Shelby County commissioners purchased a property on Childrens Home Road and awarded a bid for a bridge project as part of their actions in April. The commissioners entered into a contract to purchase real estate at 990 Childrens Home Road in Sidney for $155,000 on April 27. There are no immediate plans for the property’s use, but the Shelby County Engineer’s Office was interested in it for future use because of its proximity to the office.
