Chester city walls sections to reopen to public as repairs continue
A NEW walkway, which will allow residents and visitors to move around the section of Chester’s historic City Walls that collapsed in January 2020, will be open before Christmas. Work on the site has been progressing well and the new structure will be in place until the collapsed section is repaired. The walkway will be lined to protect visitors from the works site and information boards from previous City Walls projects will form a gallery showcasing the work that has taken place to preserve Chester’s most famous asset for future generations.
