OSHKOSH – After sitting vacant for more than 15 years, the redevelopment of the old Miles Kimball building on South Main Street took a step forward Tuesday.
The Oshkosh Common Council voted 6-0 Tuesday night to create a tax incremental financing district to assist the conversion of the building, 851 S. Main St., into apartments. Council member Bob Poeschl did not attend the meeting. 
Husband and wife Brett Hildebrandt and Molly Urban plan to convert the 24,660-square-foot, four-story building into 28 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The couple, who both live in Oshkosh, see it as a way to help revitalize the broader Sawdust District on the city s south side.  ....
