Fire damages Brookfield apartment building, no one injured

Fire damages Brookfield apartment building, no one injured By FOX6 News Digital Team Published  When crews arrived on the scene they found light smoke coming from a second-floor apartment window. The fire was contained to the kitchen of a single upstairs apartment unit and was nearly extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system that had activated prior to fire department arrival. Two families were displaced by the fire and were being assisted by the Red Cross.  No injuries were reported.  There is no damage estimate at this time.

Milwaukee man arrested, suspected of OWI following I-94 rollover crash in Brookfield

The crash happened Thursday morning, May 27, and blocked all westbound lanes of traffic.  According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a woman was trapped inside the vehicle that rolled over. Officials were able to safely get her out and she was transported to Froedtert Hospital with minor injuries.  The second driver, a 29-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody for possible impairment.
