Canadian Candu produces cancer therapy isotope : Corporate
Lutetium-177 has been produced using a new isotope production system that was installed in unit 7 of the Bruce plant in Ontario, Canada, during a recent planned maintenance outage. It marks the first time the short-lived medical isotope has been produced in a commercial nuclear power reactor.
