The Fayetteville Observer Retired Maj. Gen. Kurt Stein is taking a new vaccine designed to protect against COVID-19 as part of a clinical trial at Fort Bragg. Ask him why, and he has a question of his own: “My response is, why not?” He said he has encountered people skeptical of the vaccine, including members of his own family. “I decided to take part, not just for myself, I mean obviously I’m getting up there in age,” said Stein, who is 62. “But more so for the trial.
