Already sentenced to years in federal prison, six former Mississippi law enforcement officers were sentenced in state court for roles in torturing two Black men.

Brandon, Mississippi (CNN) — Six former Mississippi law enforcement officers who abused two Black men for hours were sentenced in state court Wednesday to 15 to 45 years in prison.

The six officers, who were previously sentenced for federal convictions, also pleaded guilty to state charges last year.
