Elected to the council were Naomi Burkland, 35, a mother of four and resident for eight years of the growing town of about 2,740 residents, and Jeffrey Trudeau, 45, who has owned property in the city for about 20 years. HORACE, N.D. (KFGO) – Two Horace City Council members lost their seats in Tuesday’s recall election. Unofficial results show 35-year old Naomi Burkland and 45-year old Jeffrey Trudeau will fill the positions. Both will serve the remainder of each seat’s four-year term ending in 2024. The Horace City Council is comprised of four council seats in addition to the mayor. Both member-elects will be sworn in at the next City Council meeting next Monday.
