Beamer and the Trojans jumped out to a convincing lead in the early going, but the visitors began to come to life in the second quarter. “We did not protect the rim very well in transition early in the game,” head coach Bob Curtis said. No matter. Beamer – joined by Alexis Welch with 14 and Sarah Angel, who knocked down 13 – kept the tap running.
