As the third phase of voting began for the 18th Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi casted his vote at Nishan Higher Secondary School in Ahmedabad. Sporting a white kurta-pyjama paired with a saffron-colored half jacket, PM Modi accompanied Amit Shah to the voting booth. Along the way, he paused to greet onlookers, even signing a sketch of himself. Additionally, PM Modi took a photograph with a young girl outside the polling booth located at Nishan Higher Secondary School in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, polling is underway for 93 seats across 12 states and union territories, with voter turnout varying from state to state. The BJP won 72 out of the 93 seats contested in this phase during the 2019 general election.

Anand, a former MLA from Patel Nagar, had previously resigned from AAP citing corruption issues. He will compete against BJP's Bansuri and AAP's Somnath Bharti in the upcoming elections.
