A former Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Nasiru Abubakar Nono, has been confirmed dead in an auto crash. The former lawmaker died alongside a former House of Assembly member, Hon. Haruna Fada on Thursday in the auto crash along the Abuja-Keffi Expressway. According to Buba Shanu, the state former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, who confirmed the news, the late Speaker, Nono was travelling with a former House of Assembly member, Hon. Haruna Fada, when the accident occurred on Thursday.
