Bublr Bikes, the nonprofit bikeshare operator of the city of Milwaukee, is adding nearly 400 electric assist bicycles to the bikeshare system in 2022.

The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) debuted on Tuesday, April 19 a new fare collection system that starts with the switch to a new mobile app.

Bublr Bikes is set to expand service to more areas throughout Milwaukee County and will add roughly 200 electric-assist bikes to its fleet in July.  The Department of Public Works, Bublr, and community partners spent the last two years deciding where to expand. They settled on all areas of the city, including multiple stations on North King Drive, the Washington Park Library, and the Urban Ecology Center.
