This is from the faa. italian based company. its helicopters are marketed for transportation, medical and utility purposes. this is important. the aw 109 is manufactured in both single and twin engine variants to miles point earlier. this is the kind of model according to faa that was the helicopter that crashed at the top of this building. let s go to miguel marquez who has talked to people in the building who had to evacuate. they had to feel the massive building shake. what more have you heard? reporter: look, you hear feel a building shaking, you hear a plane into a building in manhattan and it s fear and adrenaline that shoots through you immediately. that was felt across the city whether you were in the building or not. this is the building. there is no obvious damage to ....
Reason or another. there was a fire that happened when the helicopter hit the roof. people who were in the building said they felt the building shake. the fire department believes the fire is under control. there may have been casualties involved and people in the helicopter. reporter: do we know at this point how many were on the held continuer? we do not know, but right now we believe the fire is under control. again, casualties involved with the helicopter, we don t know what caused the helicopter to land on the top of the building. but people in the building itself, nobody has been hurt. some people have been evacuated. this is all very preliminary, and the fire department is just in the midst of respond right now as we speak. governor, i wonder what goes through your mind when you hear ....
Gear and their tools in hand and their faces covered in soot and blackened. the witnesses we spoke to said one of them on the 29th floor of this 51-story building when it hit, they he felt the building shake. another witness saying that they were told to stay in position in their chairs for a short time, about ten minutes before everybody was told to get out of the building. that s when everybody went for the exits there. and there were some crowding down the exits to get out of the building. they kind of moved us around here. this is where they staged the paramedics and ambulances. it s not clear if we re going to hear from the mayor or somebody else shortly. you can see the number of paramedics here that are prepared to go in. the number of stretchers in case there are injuries. the governor said there were injuries if not fatalities, but ....
