Is a music using samples is considered a remix? ) 5 days ago My definition of a remix is that you are creating a different yet similar track out of the original, it is not original music track in layman’s terms. However, there is music like DJ Shadow – Building Steam in A Grain of Salt or glue70 – Casin who uses many samples that I am unsure whether it is a remix or an original track. It is like mashing some contents from the original and making it as their original track. I just need some clarification on the terminology, minor maybe but I’m not letting this question unanswered...
