People were not going home an defying police order to observe the curfew. but they backed down and at one point the police made a lot of noise with clubs and shields. there was some gas deployed and crowd scattered. all of that took an hour or so but things calmed down quickly, which was the good news about what happened last night. just 35 people or so arrested but most people heeded the call to go home and observe this curfew. and police in most of the people here are hoping that continues throughout the day. across town from where i am my colleague tour'e is standing by with more here's the...
