Lubbock-Cooper tops Grapevine, advances to next round
The Lubbock-Cooper Pirates took down the Grapevine Mustangs 22-19, on Christmas Eve. The Pirates struggled to get the ball moving in the first quarter. But on their third drive Quarterback Cooper Lafabre tossed a 23 yard strike to Mike Marcinkowski for the teams first score. Mustangs would respond on the next drive with a 49 yard run to tie the game. LCP came right back and scored to go ahead 14 to 7 with 7 minutes left in the second quarter.
