Wayne Charles Robinson

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Wayne Charles Robinson on December 9th of Covid-19. Wayne was born on July 21, 1939 to Bill and Verna Robinson. Wayne grew up on Norah Street with his family, attended Isabella Street Public School and then Fort William Collegiate Institute. Wayne was very hard working and took on many jobs in his youth. He attended the University of New Brunswick and earned a Degree in Forestry. He started working for Great Lakes Forest Products, which kept him in bush camps and often not at home as much as he liked, but he truly loved being in the forest. In 1965, he married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Smith and together they had two children Cherie (Kok) and Jeffrey. When Cherie was born, a snowstorm kept him away from being at her birth and as the children grew, he decided he needed to take on employment closer to home. He took a Woodland Management position with MacMillan Bloedel and was involved with their operations in Thunder Bay ....
