NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Justin Fields is right where the Chicago Bears hoped he would be at the end of the preseason. All coach Matt Nagy will say is that they feel good with where the Bears are with their quarterbacks, a group that includes Andy Dalton set to start the opener and veteran Nick Foles along with the 11th overall pick in Fields.
Resting most of their starters, the Bears closed the preseason with a 27-24 comeback win over the Tennessee Titans Saturday night in Nashville.
All NFL teams must trim their rosters to 53 players by Tuesday, which means many of the players who suited up for the Titans against the Bears won’t be on the team by mid-week. Others, meanwhile, will find themselves on the team’s practice squad.
