Wind gusts nearing 55 mph are expected late Christmas Eve, calling for a high wind watch from the National Weather Service starting at 10 p.m. Santa's annual trip won't get any easier as heavy rain is expected to begin Thursday night and continue into Christmas Day. Wind gusts could reach 65 mph on Christmas, resulting in possible power outages.
