The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has said that 137 distressed Nigerians were on Tuesday repatriated to Nigeria from Mali. In a short statement on its X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, NEMA said that the 137 Nigerians were repatriated to the country by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). According to the statement, the returnees arrived at the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos aboard Sky Mali Air with flight no: UR-CQX. The aircraft landed at about 1400 hours on Tuesday.

The Nigerian government has announced the repatriation of 161 distressed and stranded Nigerians from Tripoli, Libya back to the country. In a statement which was made available on Wednesday morning, the authorities said the National Agency for the Prohibition of trafficking in persons (NAPTIP) and others were on hand to receive the returnees who arrived at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday night at about 11:05pm.
