The Carson High Swim Team kicked off their season Saturday with a full sweep. The meet took place at Northwest pool in Reno. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams successfully defeated their opponents winning all of the relay events and placing multiple swimmers in the top four in every event.
Carson High School recently hosted the fifth speech and debate tournament of the season in Carson City. This competition included 15 schools, 186 competitors and 81 judges. Participating students took home multiple awards in the tournament.
Dan Carstens, the newly named principal at Carson High School, will be the guest speaker at the next Rotary Club of Carson City meeting. The public is invited to attend. The meeting takes place Tuesday, Jan. 30, at noon in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom in Carson City.
