DAYTON, Nev. – August events at Dayton State Park include an astronomy program and a Carson River slide presentation.

Here is this week's fishing report for rivers, lakes and streams in Nevada, Northern California and the Sierra. This report is for the week of Jan. 30 through Feb. 5.

UPDATE: 1:31PM: Emergency dispatch reported that Care Flight has been called to the scene of the accident to transport the injured party of the roll-over accident on Brunswick Canyon Road. Condition of the victim is still unknown at this time.

Hello fellow anglers. Another season has come but not over yet. There are plenty of places to fish in our local area, the rivers in Alpine County do not close until Nov. 15, 2015. I would like to give you some background on all those fish that are planted each year in Alpine County.
