EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - Caltrans is alerting motorists of reduced lanes on U.S. Highway 50 starting next week as part of an ongoing safety improvement project in the Camino area of El Dorado County.
OTTAWA -- OC Transpo passengers and the driver escaped unharmed after a bus caught fire in Ottawa's east end on Thursday. Ottawa fire received a 911 call at 10:48 a.m. reporting a bus on fire on Carson Road, near Montreal Road. Firefighters who were driving through the area arrived on location a minute later and quickly extinguished the fire. Ottawa fire tells CTV News Ottawa everyone on board the bus safely evacuated the vehicle. There is no word on the cause of the fire. Share:

LONG-TERM PROJECTS U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County): Work continues on a $53.6 million safety project in the Camino area to replace the existing concrete median barrier and fill in the gaps in the barrier, build an undercrossing, a wildlife crossing, make local road improvements and replace culverts. The project is expected to be completed in 2022. No traffic-interfering work is scheduled on the highway. Westbound Carson Road is closed between Carson Court and Sierra Blanca Road for bridge work.
