Mexican authorities on Sunday confirmed the American and two Australian tourists who went missing in northern Mexico last week are dead after their bodies were identified by parents.
Jack Carter Rhoad, 33, was found dead on Saturday with a single gunshot wound to his head alongside his friends in an abandoned well overlooking the ocean in Baja California .
Mexican officials said three bodies have been found in the same remote stretch of Baja California where three friends went missing last week while on a surf trip.
Authorities are investigating the possible involvement of more suspects in the murder of the three surfers in Mexico , according to the Baja California state attorney general.
