The club announced on Friday morning that 16-year-old Max Hildebrand had signed with the team and has joined the squad in Regina after clearing protocols put in place by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Western Hockey League. Hildebrand, who is from Martensville, was a 13th round pick of the Raiders in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. After starting out their Subway Hub Centre season with a barn-burning 6-3 win over the Regina Pats, the Prince Albert Raiders found themselves in a muddied track on Sunday. They fell to the Moose Jaw Warriors 2-1 in a shootout. Warriors affiliate forward Brayden Yager won it in the third round of the shootout with a bar-down wrist shot. After their opening win, Raiders head coach Marc Habscheid wanted his team to stray away from the rink hockey and individual play. Although he felt his team did that to an extent, Habscheid still had a mixed view of his team’s performance.
