New police administrators are taking the reins in South Williamsport. Dan Embeck, a 21-year veteran of the Milton Police Department, is the new chief, with a salary of $80,000 a year. Council budgeted $85,000 for the position. Norm Hager, who was acting assistant chief for the past 15 months, assumes the role of assistant chief July 1.
