A 5-year-old cancer survivor from Westchester is hoping to serve as an inspiration for other kids.
Cassidy Kline, of Larchmont, was only 3 years old when she underwent 15 months of intense chemotherapy to fight back against a sarcoma that started as a bump on her arm. She woke up in the middle of the night with pain and a hard lump on her left arm, and we weren t sure what happened, says Janine Kline, Cassidy s mother. Three weeks later, after a biopsy and several tests, they told us that she had cancer. Stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma. So, it went from taking her to a follow up doctor appointment to being hospitalized for three weeks.
