Soulfully entertaining with a flare of sophistication, Alexander Road High School’s latest production, Sister Act, certainly lives up to expectations as the audience attending the opening night on Tuesday roared with laughter and brought the house down with resounding applause.
Gangsters, glitz and praising God, the iconic music of Sister Act! will be shining its light at the Guild Theatre next week, as Clarendon High School pupils return to the stage. It’s been 18 years since the all-girls school put on a major theatrical production and with one week to go before curtain-up, dramatic arts teacher and director Ashleigh Daines said the cast was nervous but excited.
