CCTO issues traffic advisory for April 14 celebration of 500 Years of Christianity

THE Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) announced that some traffic routes will be adjusted to give way to participants and visitors of activities in celebration of the 500th anniversary of Christianity in the Philippines on Wednesday, April 14.
READ:
• “No Parking Zone” will be imposed in the vicinity of the Basilica Minore del Santo Santo Niño and Cebu City Hall. The city will clamp or tow away vehicles of violators.
• Only participants and visitors with car passes and invitations will be allowed to part. No ID, no entry will be observed.

CCTO apprehends 21,000 traffic violators in March

THE Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) issued 21,340 traffic citations to violators in March 2021, which is nearly double the 11,264 issued in February 2021.
Common traffic violations include stopping at no-stopping signs, no vehicle registration, and no driver’s license.
CCTO also clamped 840 vehicles that were illegally parked overnight. It also impounded 619 motorcycles.
Other vehicles impounded include 10 e-bikes, 11 traysikad, 25 four-wheeled vehicles, one tricycle, 10 trucks, three public utility jeepney, and one trailer.
CCTO urged traffic violators to pay their fines so that their violations will not be brought to court.
