IAF Helicopter crash: The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Wednesday ordered an inquiry into the crash of an Mi-17 V5 helicopter. While the Mi-17 is widely considered as one of the most versatile and advanced military transport helicopters around the world, there have been previous crash incidences involving the Mi-17 helicopter. 

"With deep regret, it has now been ascertained that Gen Bipin Rawat, Mrs Madhulika Rawat and 11 other persons on board have died in the unfortunate accident," IAF confirmed.

Three have been rescued so far with serious injuries.
