New CDS might be selected from both serving or retired officers: Sources
The government is likely to consider both serving and retired military officers for the position of Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), said sources. The post of CDS has been vacant since December 8 last year, ever since the death of country's first CDS, late General Bipin Rawat, in an air crash.
