Police & Fire: Blaze at Bailey Park Apartments; attempted kidnapping
APARTMENT FIRE: Residents of 11 units at Bailey Park Apartments, 1417 Capital Ave. N.E. were displaced by a fire reported just before 9 p.m. Friday. Pennfield Township Fire Chief Tim Smith said it appears the fire began on a second floor outside balcony in building 1411 and burned up the side of the building and into the attic. When the first firefighters arrived, "we had fire showing up the outside of the building and into the eaves and this side of the roof," Smith said.
