Provincial MEC David Maynier says it is crucial for parents to apply as soon as possible as the earlier they know the number of learners seeking placements.
So far, the department has received applications for just over 103,796 learners.
The applications are open for all grades and parents are urged to make use of the online application system before the 14 April deadline.
With the school admission process for 2023 starting 14 March 2022, the department is appealing to parents and guardians to get the necessary documents together ahead of time.
