As the Monument Fire grows to over 36,000 acres, the people of nearby Junction City are under evacuation warning.

The Monument Fire in western Trinity County and the McFarland Fire in both Trinity and Shasta counties are a combined 35,000 acres, officials said.

The rockfish bite along the North Coast continues to be red-hot. Black rockfish, like these caught Sunday out of Crescent City, are making up the majority of the catch.
