SCAD photographer Robin Elise Maaya has new show at Cedar House Gallery

When SCAD Senior and photographer Robin Elise Maaya began photographing twins for a class project, she never imagined the direction it would take her work, or the close relationship she would develop with the family of one of her subjects.
Maaya was introduced to the Pendergrass family (Christine, or Chrissy, Scott, Alexa, and twins Ava and Ruby) through her professor, Jaclyn Cori Norman, while working on a book of photography.
At that point Maaya had already photographed ten pairs of twins.
“I had them wearing the exact same outfits,” explained Maaya. “I took them to Hutchinson Island over the bridge and photographed them all in the tall grass. It was very portraiture, very back-to-back, very much focusing on their identical features.”

A frustrated Eungella business owner has taken to social media to try and weed out a Santa-hat wearing duo who broke into her gallery on Christmas Day.
Kerry McNeill has shared an 11-second clip of CCTV footage to Facebook and YouTube which shows two people breaking into the Cedar Gallery in Broken River at 6.49am on Friday.

"Merry Christmas to these filthy animals," the small business owner's post stated.
"Help us find these thieves who damaged our building just for some alcohol, an old computer and sadly some tools we were using to complete stage two of our building."
