Carlsberg Malaysia eyes 11% increase in sales with Harvest can designs Details 05 April 2021 A deeply rooted tradition observed in Sabah and Sarawak is the annual thanksgiving Harvest festival marking the bountiful abundance of rice harvesting. To commemorate the festivities, Carlsberg has launched a first-of-its-kind Harvest packaging that accentuates tribal elements and icons of paddy on Carlsberg Danish Pilsner and Carlsberg Smooth Draught cans. Celebrated throughout Sabah as Kaamatan and Gawai in Sarawak, the harvest festivals are a massive cultural celebration with families, friends and tribe members over delectable meals, traditional dance, and music pre-COVID. As we approach the second year of Harvest amid the pandemic, Carlsberg wishes to uplift spirits with its Harvest campaign and to rekindle relationships in a modest manner with beer lovers.

HOPING for a better tomorrow was made possible for 8,000 underprivileged Malaysians following Carlsberg’s pledge of RM1 million through its ‘Celebrate Prosperity, Cheers For Tomorrow’ food aid campaign this festive season. In partnership with theSun, Star Foundation, Yayasan Nanyang Press, The Borneo Post and See Hua Daily News, Carlsberg provided RM500 worth of food supplies to 2,000 families each, whose livelihood were impacted by the Covid-19 and flash floods. Needy individuals from B40 income group, orphans, or family with single parent, and with disabled (OKU) members were prioritised.

PETALING JAYA: Gift-giving is a practice that is very much a part of Chinese New Year as a way to convey good wishes in the coming year. Amid current trying times, Carlsberg Malaysia is partnering with Star Foundation and MyKasih Foundation to support 400 needy families nationwide via the “Celebrate Prosperity, Cheers For Tomorrow” food aid initiative. Under this initiative, Carlsberg and Star Foundation will channel RM200,000 to MyKasih Foundation which will distribute RM500 each to these families in time for the Chinese New Year celebration. This programme is part of Carlsberg’s RM1mil pledge with five media organisations to reach out to Malaysians nationwide.
