Around 1,000 police personnel, including the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), state armed police and the district police, will be deployed in the proposed three-layer security apparatus at the counting centre for the Ranchi parliamentary seat in Pandra. The counting will begin at 8 am with the postal ballots and the counting of the EVMs would be in 20 rounds starting from 8.30 am. Strict security measures in place to ensure only eligible persons and permitted materials are allowed inside the counting halls.
