The document was signed by WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge and Board Member (Minister) on Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Nazarenko.
Members of the council are healthcare ministers and chief state sanitary inspectors. Chairman of the council, Healthcare Minister of Belarus Dmitry Pinevich is expected to speak on the results of Belarus' presidency in the Council.
“The funds allocated last year exceeded Br0.5 billion. The money were used to purchase medications, antiseptics and pay bonuses to healthcare workers operating in the red zones. This year we have already exceeded last year's figures by Br200 million,” said Igor Petrishenko.
The Russian Ministry of Health supports the production of COVID-19 vaccines in Belarus, Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko told reporters on the sidelines of the 34th session of the CIS Healthcare Cooperation Council that is underway in Minsk.
The minister did not specify the projected output of this vaccine. “Our number one task now is to make sure it will be a high-quality vaccine. It must fully replicate the existing vaccine,” he said.
