A total 18 bunkers were destroyed in Imphal East, Imphal West, Churachandpur, Bishnupur and Kakching Districts by a combined team of Manipur Police and Central Security Forces, the control room said.
To defend from attacks in connection with the ongoing clash in Manipur, numbers of illegal bunkers have been reportedly set up in adjoining peripheral areas of Meitei and Kuki villages by both the communities.
