AFSPA extended in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland for six months from today

The Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) has been extended in three districts of Arunachal Pradesh and nine districts of Nagaland for six months. The AFSPA empowers security forces to arrest a person and search premises without a warrant.
