01/15/21 An Iowa City man was taken into custody Thursday after being accused of trying to fight the staff at a downtown bar and refusing to leave, then scuffling with police. According to arrest reports, 25-year-old John Zamora was at Pints on South Clinton Street around 12:20 am. He allegedly tried to fight with bar staff, and refused to leave, so police were called. 1/6/21 A Coralville man faces charges that he attacked an Iowa City Police officer after getting kicked out of a bar. Officers were called to The Vine on East Prentiss Street just before 6:30 Tuesday night for two subjects refusing to leave. Investigators asked one of the men, 51-year-old Francisco Sanchez-Valdez of the Western Hill Estates manufactured housing community, to identify himself. He refused and began to walk away.
