ISLAMABAD: The All Pakistan Traders Association (APTA) Friday announced that it would continue to carry out all commercial activities countrywide except Sindh until chand raat.
According to the APTA President Ajmal Baloch, all markets and businesses will operate across the country, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
"We should be allowed to operate businesses 24 hours as the Saudi government did," said Baloch, adding if the government did not have the means to provide relief to the business community, then it should not tell them to shut down their businesses.

ISLAMABAD: The All Pakistan Traders Association (APTA) Friday announced that it would continue to carry out all commercial activities countrywide except Sindh until chand raat.
According to the APTA President Ajmal Baloch, all markets and businesses will operate across the country, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. "We should be allowed to operate businesses 24 hours as the Saudi government did," said Baloch, adding if the government did not have the means to provide relief to the business community, then it should not tell them to shut down their businesses.
Two days ago, the Punjab government had announced that a full lockdown would be imposed across the province throughout the Eid holidays (May 8 to May 16) to curb the rising number of coronavirus infections.

KARACHI: The Sindh government has imposed a ban on public transport while markets, shopping malls picnic spots will remain closed from May 9-16 to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The provincial government announced the new set of restrictions as part of the national “Stay Home- Stay Safe” drive during the Eid holidays amid the third wave of coronavirus.
“Whereas, considering the usual festive activities traditionally undertaken on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr it is apprehended that such activities related to Eid are very likely to contribute to the spread of disease and accordingly it was decided at the National Command Operation Centre (NCOC) to take further measures to reduce mobility during forthcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and the guidelines “STAY HOME- STAY SAFE” as discuss at NCOC are adopted for this purpose. The same measures were also discussed and decided during the Covid-19 Task Force meeting dated 6th May, 2021 chaired by the Chief Minister, Sindh keeping in view the disease spread in the country in general and the province of Sindh in particular,” read a notification issued by the Sindh Home Department on Friday.

KARACHI: The Sindh government on Friday announced a new set of restrictions as part of the national “Stay Home- Stay Safe” drive to curb coronavirus during the Eid holidays.
In a notification issued by the Sindh Home Department, the provincial government stated that the new restrictions will remain in place from May 9 to 16.

ISLAMABAD: In defiance of the government's coronavirus protocols for the Eid ul Fitr holidays  (May 8 to May 16) during which all commercial activities are to remain suspended, the  All Pakistan Traders Association on Friday evening announced that traders will continue to operate businesses from tomorrow till chand raat  — a day before Eid.
According to the All Pakistan Traders Association President Ajmal Baloch, as against the directives of the government, all markets and businesses will operate across the country, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir,
